Following my email yesterday regarding the network outage affecting a number of campus buildings, internet connectivity has now been successfully restored in Mercantile House, Rosalind Franklin and Spinnaker Building.

Staff can continue to work from these buildings as normal.

We recognise the disruption this may have caused and thank you for your continued patience and cooperation while this work was completed.

Mercantile House has been successfully restored and is now back online. The second link to the building has been restored while the electrical investigation in RFDC continues.

Estates have advised that additional work is required to fully stabilise the power supply in RFDC, Rosalind Franklin and Spinnaker will continue to be affected.

We will update once the power supply has been confirmed as stable.

Affected buildings for the network issues include: Mercantile, Rosalind Franklin, and Spinnaker. Staff in Mercantile and Rosalind Franklin have been advised that they should work from home or in another building where possible.

Estates have advised that an engineer should be on site by 14:30. Outage caused by a faulty AC unit in RFDC.

We will continue to update as we learn more

Reports of users not being able to connect to the internet using LAN and WiFi.

Some users that were connected are no longer connected, while other users are not impacted at all:
